Mason Martin Margiela (2012)
I was super excited for this collaboration. I had just graduated high school, started uni and thought I was so on point with my super oversized Margiela shirt from the mens-section..
Looking back, I have no idea what I even saw in it.
Isabel Marant (2013)
I was going through such a horrible time for this buy. So I just got it in hopes of some instant happiness.
Did I wear it? Maybe a few times.. I'll try to pull it out this year and see how it looks on.
Alexander Wang (2014)
Okay so this might be the only nice thing I've ever got from a design collab. But I got it way too oversized and now it looks hideous on. Well done Laila.
Balmain (2015)
To keep up with my honesty, I have never worn this skirt. Ever. The tags are still on..
After Balmain I just stopped buying things from H&M collabs. I really wanted the Kenzo T-shirt from last year, but I think I was in London for the release and things were a bit too crazy there.
On another note, what's your fav H&M collab?

That's the denim jacket I've been living in all summer. It's a thrifted oversized Levi's that I found in *drumrolls* Portobello Road Market (across the street from the food stalls - amazing denim jackets!).
Guys I'm so gutted about leaving London in 2 weeks.. Let's not even talk about packing. How am I supposed to fit my life in those suitcases?

So I'm home again! Actually it's been a week, but who's counting..
The sunshine and salt water were amazing. I mean is there anything more beautiful than the Red Sea?

But can we talk about this past week? It's been absolutely insane. Exams, labs, projects, work and trying to sort my life before moving abroad for a few months (more about that later).

Sol och saltvatten har varit underbart. Finns det något vackrare än Röda Havet?
Jag har en del inlägg från resan som jag kommer uppdatera er med under veckan.

» WHAT TO WEAR
Hey guys!
I dropped my sister off to the airport today - always sad. But she'll be back next week.
I've just been studying all day, and then got a text message from my boss reminding me of the work event tomorrow. Of course I had completely forgotten about it.. So I panicked and tried to find something to wear.
That blouse would've looked cute with black trousers and heels. Too bad it wouldn't arrive tomorrow if I ordered it. Don't worry though, I found a dress to wear!
I'll see if I can take some pictures from the event tomorrow.

Hej allihop!
Jag skjutsade min syster till flygplatsen idag - alltid jobbigt. Men hon kommer tillbaks nästa vecka.
Annars har jag pluggat hela dagen, och fick ett sms av min chef för att påminna mig om jobb eventet imorgon. Såklart hade jag glömt bort det.. Så jag fick panik och letade efter något att ha på mig. Blusen hade inte suttit fel med ett par svarta byxor och klackar. Men det är synd att den inte hinner komma imorgon om jag beställer den.
Oroa er inte, jag hittade en klänning att ha på mig!

Picture this: it's 7 am and your alarm keeps going off. You don't want to wake up, so you end up having only 10 minutes to get ready. What do you do?
If you're like me, you'll end up grabbing the same cozy sweater that you've already worn to death, or channel your inner demon and wear all black.
Since it's winter, and I'm either wearing black or pink, I thought that you guys might like these three shirts (from Zalando) for days when you just need to get out the door ASAP, while still looking a bit presentable. Best part? STUDENT DISCOUNT!

» #HMBALMAINATION
This was one of the most anticipated H&M collaborations ever - or that's how I feel.
I, like many others, have been waiting for this collaboration ever since Alexander Wang (although we didn't know it was going to be Balmain!), and when I found out it was Balmain, I wanted to get everything.. Everything..
But as the days for the release approached, I thought that I wouldn't get anything because it was very over-priced, even thought the dresses were to die for. But yesterday morning I woke up thinking, nope, I change my mind. I need to get my hands on these clothes!
As it was too late to physically go to the H&M store (and since people have been literally sleeping outside the store), I thought I should online shop. Big mistake. You should never shop online for an H&M collaboration. I had to wait, for hours, to get into the H&M website, as there were many people waiting.. When I finally got access to the site, and the clothes, I immediately put everything I wanted in the shopping cart, without going too crazy or breaking the bank. The black and white skirt, the top to go with the skirt and the white tee were the items I was looking forward to get. I was happy, maybe too happy, and that's when the site crashed - again. So there I was, with these items in my bag, but with no way to actually get them.
Can you guys guess what I did?
I waited, again. About three hours later, I got into the site, but with only one item in my cart.. Everything else was sold out. But hey, I got the skirt!
In retrospect I'm thinking how silly I was for going crazy. I mean, no matter how beautiful and sparkly these pieces are, they're just clothes. They won't magically make you feel a certain way. Do I really need them? No. Who does? There's more to life than pretty shoes and over-priced dresses, even if they happen to be Balmain. My point is that it is okay to get excited over clothes, video games, or whatever it might be that is being released. But it is also important to stop and think about other things. The skirt won't transform me, it won't make me happy, but it is the things we do (while wearing them) that counts. Okay, enough rambling.
Is anyone else excited over the next H&M collab?

» ALEXANDER WANG x H&M
With the mind of a hunter, I went to the Alexander Wang x H&M release (two weeks ago! This post was supposed to go live then, but it didn't). Did I fall in love? Yes - hey it was all black, and you guys probably know how I feel about black. J'adore - again with the French. I'm such a cool kid.

I mainly went to get my hands on this scuba top, which I have to say looks so much better in person - the entire collection did actually. But being me, I was fifteen minutes late, which meant that this top was basically gone - in every size. So I waited by the fitting rooms for girls to return this top (if you've done that before, you know how crazy that makes you look). Long story short; I got it.

Also, I had to get this bottle because there were only two left and it's soooo pretty!
I'll show you guys how the top looks on when I wear it - haven't worn it yet (strange for someone who usually wears everything straight away).

I went to another wedding this weekend. Seriously though, all we do is attend weddings - there's an event almost every single weekend. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously fun to participate in the celebration of two souls coming together or whatever the event might be, but sometimes it's getting a bit too much. I just want one weekend with nothing to do. To just stroll around in my pj's all day long. Is that too much to ask?
On another note; it was a beautiful wedding and I wish the couple nothing but happiness.

I attended a beautiful wedding by the beach this weekend (read; the venue was by the beach).
Since I was afraid of being last minute with the outfit; I had placed an order for a dress a month (or two) before. The dress was beautiful and I even found jewelry to go with it (I had been hunting for the perfect necklace until I finally found one).
Being me, I tried everything on two days before - you can probably guess the scenario. The dress looked great, but being a pants-girl, I was a bit uncomfortable. So I decided (along with the united fronts as known as my sister and mom) to save the dress for something else (it's a very plain and simple dress that could be worn to the beach).
The following day - the day before the wedding - I went to the mall with other unfortunate, indesisive girls (haha, I'm joking). Knowing what I was looking for, I went straight in, grabbed it, and left (well, not so gracefully, but you get the picture).
Long story short; I'll never seize in being a last-minute person (only when it comes to outfits though - hopefully). But you should never do something that doesn't feel right, because in the end; life's too short to do something you don't want to or feel uncomfortable in doing. Embrace life and embrace yourself to grow into the person you wish to become.
Because I never do "outfit"-posts, I'd be happy to get your feedback about them.

» ISABEL MARANT x H&M - TAKE ONE
Remember when I said that I didn't go to the Isabel Marant x H&M release because I didn't really like the collection? I lied (not about not going to the release) - I ended up falling in love with a piece from the collection, that eventually found its way to my closet..
It's a gorgeous grey, double breasted, wool coat. Because grey is much more colorful than black (hello sarcasm).. But I love it!
I didn't include it in this post because I don't really do fashion-haul-type of posts on the blog, maybe because of the never-ending amount of fashion blogs.
Never underestimate the power of fashion (oh em gee..).

I have been living under a rock!
What a joy when I found out - a couple seconds ago (!) - that Isabel Marant has made a collaboration with H&M, which is relased the 14th of November.
Personally, I love her designs in general. Why, you might ask.
Well, I don't really wear bright colors, and therefore I'm always dressed in black, white, beige or any other neutral color. Isabel Marants F/W 2013-2014 is simple and neutral - if I'd discribe it in one two words. And her designs are very wearable.
Does this mean that the collaboration with H&M will be similar to her F/W collection?
We'll have to wait and see.
Visualize yourself in a white coat on a snowy december day - love at first sight? YES!

» MARGIELA X H&M
So, what did I do today? (this was supposed to go up on the Margiela x H&Mrelease).
I searched for the top that I wanted (in the mens section).. And guess what? It wasn't there.. So I assumed that it was sold out.. The lady that worked there told me to check if someone would return it, which made me end up standing outside the mens fitting room, in a desperate wait..
I gave up a few minutes later and went back to the womens section, picked up a book (yes, they sell books.. Or just one book - about fashion. Surprise, surprise..).. After looking around in the womes section, without any luck of finding anything, I thought I'd head back to the mens section one last time. And there it was! Waiting for me - a couple sizes too big, but I couldn't resist getting it anyways since it was the last one.
Way too many pictures of one shirt. But I love it! It's very laid back which means that it can be dressed up (with just throwing on a big necklace), or dressed down with jeans and boots.
