» THE LAND OF LOCH-NESS

Spontaneously, me and my sister booked a trip, and three days later we arrived - after what felt like many stops.
Since my intention is to show you guys what I'm doing during my stay here in other ways than blogging, I'll keep this short and wish you (belated) merry christmas and happy holidays!

» VIRGIN MOJITOS

Picture from my Instagram

I just got home from a fun evening with gorgeous ladies and delicious food - a big thank you! ♥

Sometimes, a joyful night with people you love is more than enough to cheer you up and turn that frown upside down. Taking a moment from your oh-so-busy (not really) day to be thankful for everything and everyone in your life is one thing I'll definitely put more pressure on doing - it really makes you happy!

As I can barely keep my eyes open, and I'm loosing control of that cold of mine, I'll end this post here.

Good night (or morning) lovely readers

Laila

» BAKING

Apparently I've got a ridiculous love for baking. Chocolate chip ookies, gingerbread cookies and the hideous creatures above, were all on my to-bake-list, and they all turned out to be very delicious - hurray!

As for the actual blogging part of the blog, I've been pretty distant lately, primarily because of my neverending battle of keep running this blog or shutting it down, and because of my schoolwork - which always comes first.
Although I've debated of shutting it down, I've planned some fun upcoming posts and I'll take it from there. Maybe I should scheduele a couple days of the week for blogging, and make it happen - a new years resolution perhaps, haha!

Since I've kept this blog running for a couple years now, with more readers, I'd like to know what you want to read more of - any special requests?

» HOLIDAY SPARKLE

I'm in LOVE with this nail-combo; Essie's Don't Sweater It as a base with Mavala's Sparkling Gold on top  and oh my, it looks like magic! I don't own any Mavala nailpolish, so I have no idea how long it lasts and so on, but so far so good!
And excuse my horrible nails - I'm simply not gifted with gorgeous ones, haha.

For now, I'm going to watch a Christmas movie and drink hot tea (it's so sweet and delicious with honey - I LOVE!) - having the night off from exam-studying.

Have a great night!

Laila

» 11.12.13

This is a VERY edited picture. I love the colors of it.

People (including myself) are obsessed with dates, and with 12.12.12 being the last official 'special' date, we are now excited about today being 11.12.13.
Maybe it has something to do with our obvious addiction to social media, that we feel the need to document every detail of our lives - me included.

Something happens, and we document it with a picture - it's simple. Who needs a journal when everything is documented on Instagram; which is basically our lives through pictures.

Although I'm astonished with how technology has developed, and how fast we went through having huge phones with antennas to our beloved iPhones, I still miss our no-technology way of living. The joy of recieving a letter from your friend was beyond the joy I now feel to certain shopping addictions.

Call me old fashioned, but that's the number one thing I miss about my childhood (hello old lady!).
If only life could be that simple.

What are you most nostalgic about?

Laila

» FACIAL SCRUB

This Gunry Facial Scrub is great! It's light enough to use everyday, and really exfoliates the skin.
I've tried using it everyday and it literally worked wonders! My skin never broke out during the everyday-use of it, and it left my face moisturized and soft all day. I didn't use any moisturizer.

Although I don't use it everyday, I seriously love this product!

It retails for about 39-ish SEK - which is a total bargain for what you get. They've got a range of different scrubs. I got mine from Ica Maxi (again, very glamorous).

The corns aren't very harsh, which is why I wasn't afraid of using it everyday. I don't normally like the very corn-y scrubs.

» COCONUT OIL

Ecologic virgin coconut oil is supposed to be a great beauty product. People have used it for many many years on hair, face and body - and it has worked wonders for them.

Since my sister started using it a couple weeks ago as a makeup remover, and I noticed a massive difference in her skin, but never got around to use it. She swears by it!
Today, I will give it a try since my skin is acting up on me, and we'll see how that goes.

I will update you guys about it in a couple weeks - and I'll do the same with the banana peel.

Have you tried it?

Laila
