Guess what?
My cousins wedding is coming up (in a month!) and I'm gonna be one of the many bridesmaids!
I've found the dress - waiting for it to arrive so it can get a makeover..
Since I needed a study break - badly, must be added - I put together a collage of an idea.. The only thing I might actually get are the shoes.. And for now, my dress will remain a secret..
There's just one thing I'd like to add.. Why does every shop I've been to seem to be emptied of nice dresses? I mean, uncase I want a dress with huge roses, unflattering cuts and all in all weird detailing, there are no dresses!
I want to become a dress designer.. So I can produce some nice fitting, gorgeous Elie Saab inspired (minus a couple zeros) dresses.
And I might be rocking (or trying to) red accents - I'll probably consult the bride-to-be first (obviously!).

» AFTER A HURRICANE COMES A RAINBOW
When horrible things happen to us - or things that seem to be horrible at the time - we tend to forget about everything else and turn a 'selfish-mode' on (or that's what I find myself doing).I simply forget about everything else that matters in life and feel extremely sorry about myself..
Now that is horrible..
I went through that 'I'm-in-a-horrible-position-in-life'-thing a couple days ago, due to some things that happened. I had a couple 'ice-cream'-days and completely shut out the people I care about and truly love..
When I decided that I should and need to move on with my life, I was stuck.. I couldn't move forward and I couldn't glimpse back either.. I was stuck in something that you would call limbo.
"After a hurricane, comes a rainbow"
That's what anyone would have told me at that time, and I would've shrugged and laughed. "Sure", I can almost hear myself saying in deep sarcasm. It's just a saying; nothing you should look into or even think about - is what I would've told you.
Now that would probably make up your mind about how I felt and how horribly ignorant I was during that situation (?).
That phrase used to only be that - a phrase. Now it's a way of living.
You see, while I was feeling sorry about myself, I had forgotten about everything around me. I wasn't my critical self.. I didn't even follow my daily lists nor did I study as hard as I was used to.
I couldn't see my priorities clearly.
That's when it happened. That's when the rainbow came.
When I least expected it, I was put into a situation I'd call 'lie-or-die' (to be dramatic). I was really thinking about 'lie', since the 'die' would put me in an actual die-situation (being dramatic again; so you'll get my point)..
When I was choosing my words to make up my mind, it wasn't a 'lie'. I had chosen 'die'.
But I didn't die. I overwon the situation by being true to myself and to whomever it may concern (a big crowd - that's how far I could tell you about it and that it wouldn't ruin my personal life so you won't get any wrong ideas).
My rainbow was God (that's how far into religion I'll go in this blog). He helped me through the situation instantly and my 'die' didn't kill me. It was to my advantage.
So what I've been trying to say with this essay-like post is that you should never let yourself give up.
There's always light at the end of the tunnel, and there's always a way to stay true to yourself and your priorities in life. Don't let life pursue you into forgetting about your priorities..

With a new week around the corner, it marks the start of something new.
So let's make weekly-resolutions (every week)..
My weekly resolution will be to just live, study hard and think about what life has given me so far (and be thankful for it). I'll - hopefully - be thinking about my goals, to keep myself going forward.

With that being said, I've been spending quality time with myself (LOL), and therefor (because of the illness), I decided not to blog.
I've got many ideas on blogposts I've been dying to do - stay tuned for that.

» TOO MUCH?
I've been talking way too much about videos lately.. And to be completely honest with you guys, I'm thinking of removing that horrible video of mine.
Why? I basically feel uncomfortable with it being up. And (this might sound awkward and really out of place), I can imagine people laughing at it haha.

» I FILMED A VIDEO..
.. but it turned out horrible..
Dear readers,
I filmed a video, as promised. The video turned out hideous, and I will not upload it, nor try editing it..
So I'll give it another try tomorrow, and see if I can smile and look happy while I'm filming - and also make sure that my shirt looks alright and not as if I've been running a freaking marathon and didn't pay attention to how my shirt was sliding up and looking awkward..

» HOW TO - YOUR OWN CARRIE PURSE
In case I didn't watch way too many tv-shows, I fell in love with the Carrie Diaries.
If you've watched the show, you've probably seen her purse - gorgeous? YES!
So, being the crafty person I am (LOL), I decided to copy her purse-to-die-for (exaggerating.. what's new about that?). Keep in mind that her purse is black, and mine is off-white/beige. Why? Because I don't really have a small black purse (with no studs or any details) that I can experiment with.. (In need of a black purse!).
You'll need a purse (obviously)..
.. nailpolish of your choice..
.. I went for these for no other reason than that they are easier to work with..
.. splatter some nailpolish of your choice on your purse. Write your name (as Carrie did on her purse),
or go for a simple heart (I copied the heart from a YouTube video - don't remember which one)..
And there you go - your own Carrie-inpired purse!
Now I'll wait for it to dry overnight and then I'll snap some pictures while trying to rock it on a bday dinner tomorrow.

» COOL BUTTONS AND YOUTUBE THOUGHTS
Giving it a lot of thought, and a lot of courage - I decided that I'm actually going to start YouTube-ing..
I was supposed to film yesterday, and surprise you guys with a video. But I was too tired after seven hours in the lab..
However, I will not post my "2012-favorites" video since it's February (already! Can you believe it?!). I will film another video, and if it turns out OK and if I'm happy with it, I will post it!
So stay tuned for that.
Other than that - apart from studying - I have an idea of what to do with these gorgeous buttons I received from my lovely grandma. Perhaps spicing up an old coat?

» BE MY VALENTINE
Wheather if you're going out with your girlfriends, parents, siblings or special someone, v-day is a pretty special day (even if I might not exactly fancy it - it's a pretty lame day.. Celebrating love on 14th of february? Please..).
Anyhow, I won't deny that I always find myself looking through my pink-red-coral-y clothes.. What's v-day without these lovely brights?
So I've put together several outfits for you guys, to help the inspiration flow (LOL at that)..
This very casual outfit is simple with hints of pink and a heart-patterned cardigan.
It's the perfect brunch, lunch or just 'hanging out' outfit. If it's a bit too simple for you; switch the oxfords to a pair of heels - red.
This outfit is very 'me'. The blouse, the tweed-ish cardigan, the lipstick, shoes, bag (or I'd go for a bigger one haha!).
It's the perfect 'casual' lunch, or dinner date outfit. And I'll probably wear it to hit up my favorite coffe shop with my girls! (who said that v-day is all about having a male valentine?).
Now this outfit is gorgeous.. It's extremely dressy with the Alice+Olivia dress, the Louboutins and the red lip.
I'd definitely wear this to a party or an extremely dressy occasion. And being a 'trouser/pants'-girl, it's not the first thing I'd reach for when dressing up.
