» DRIVING DOWN THE STREET

Guess what?!
B got her drivers license! Oh I'm so happy and proud :') It feels like I got the license hahah.. My turn soon..
So we've been strolling around the streets of Malmö - like a bawwss (ok Laila...cut that off..), or more like waste women (if someone gets that - you're awesome!).

I posted this pic to my Instagram, and now I'm realizing that 1. It looks like I'm driving. 2. You can barely
see B and M..

PS. It looks like I'm wearing this scarf ALOT - but I love it! It's a gift from a lovely friend ♥

» HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE!

My oldest (not age-wise) friend/sister/cousins (after a lifetime friendship, I still don't know how to refer to her!) bday is today!

So Mona and I went over to her house early this morning and surprised her with donuts, cupcakes, roses (her favorites) and a gift. It's our tradition! And later on this evening, we will celebrate her!

With all that being said - happy birthday Tony Butcher; we love you! <3

» FOOD, FRENCH CAKE, EID AND A STYLISH BABY

Pictures of my day - yesterday ♥

Crazy for rings! But I lost one of them - oh the tears!
Stylish baby? YES! I want those cute tights!

And the french chocolate cake - yummy!

» EID MUBARAK

Eid mubarak lovely readers! May God accept our prayers (irrespective of religion) and fill our lives with happiness.
I hope you've all had a lovely day with your beloved ones ♥

These are some pictures of my day.
My "pretty in pink" outfit (childish, if I may say so myself) and Nado being a photographer! :') ♥

» THERE WILL BE NO WHITE FLAG ABOVE MY DOOR

Good song = fun study session (or less boring!)..

» SKINCARE

My skin hasn't behaved these past couple of weeks - and I've went through a couple breakouts.. Gosh, how annoying is that? And the worst thing is when you feel the need to cover those red bumps with heavy concealer.. That's when those bumps turn into something worse - because you shouldn't be covering them!

Well, I do that anyway, and I predict that I'll do that as long as I spot a red alien on my face..
The cure?

A good old eight hour of sleep, not stressing, drinking lots of water and choosing rasins over chocolate. But that's not it. You can use some magical products too!

Current (and hopefully future) skincare products. Aloe; calming toner, gentle facial wash, night- and
day cream. They're from the Body Shop and I absolutely love them! Since my skin is very sensitive,
these products have been working well.
My eye cream isn't very fancy. It's a pretty (or let's say a very) cheap one from Åhlens. It's moisturizing
my undereye area - which is what I seek for in an eye cream. But when I'm in the need of something
with richer texture, I use an eye gel from the Body Shop or stick to the old trick; Vaseline! It works
wonders on your lashes too!
Now this is a great product! I only have the sample, but I will defenitely get the real deal since it's really,
really good! It's a gel-form. You dab it on your spot - after you've cleansed and moisturized your skin,
and wake up with reduced redness and a smaller spot. The downside of this product is that it's a bit
pricey - and you can only get it at your facial centre (as I know of).
When I need to pamper my skin, a mask goes a long way! Most of the time I use those "one-time"-masks
(or what do you call them?) from Kicks, and I love them. Specially the chocolate mud mask. But, I got
the Honey and Oat scrub from the Body Shop today and it's currently sinking into my skin..

Do you have any facial goodies or a skincare you swear by? ♥

» A DANCE ON ROSES?

That's what life is, they said. But if it really was a dance on roses, how would we be able to learn from our (or other peoples) mistakes, face difficulties and cross obstacles?

With this being said, I don't believe that life is a dance on roses.. Life is more like walking on a thousand needles. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But that's life.

» WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT

Girls. I don't know how many "heartbreak" quotes I've read these past few days (or shall we make that weeks?).. The devastating thing is that most of these girls are pretty young. Heartbreak quotes? Seriously?

Somehow, girls think that a guy will make them feel special. Personally, I think that it's a very sad thing.. I mean, how low are we going if we need a person in our lives just to feel special and beautiful? Heads up, ladies; no one will ever make you feel special nor beautiful unless you start realizing that first. If you don't feel special, no one else will ever believe that you are either.. It's just like riding a bike for the first time. If you don't think you'll be able to balance the two wheels to stand up straight, you won't be able to balance them even if someone tries to help you..

Sure, people can get your confidence up - but only for a short period of time. Only you can realize your true potential (yes, I brought that up, again!)..

Remember that you are special, you are beautiful and you are perfect - just the way you are. You should realize that, dig deep within you and open your eyes..

Nothing symbolizes perfection better than Orchids..

» A NEW PASSION

Finding out new things about yourself can be - in most cases - very fun, if not great. Specially if it's a new hobby and what not..

I recently found out something new - or something I'd never thought I'd be able to go through - about myself. While listening to a pretty cheesy, but really good song. Oh memories! (not in the romantic kind of way - I thought I'd have to add that hahah!).

» BREAKFAST WITH BABY SIS

Waffles. So increadibly delicious, but very bad! Oh well, it's a breakfast.. Or should I say brunch?

My day is all filled up with stuff I have to do, places I have to go to and projects to start and finish - and lets not start with the study talk, shall we?

How's your day so far beauties? X

» REALIZING YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL

Realizing what you are capable of, who you are and what you're worth, is extremely important. Without all of that you are basically not going anywhere - not in life at least. You will only end up trying to be something you're not, which is wrong..

Why would that be wrong? Trying to be the best version of yourself can't be that bad, you must think. But think again. Why fool yourself when you can be you and erase every one that doesn't accept it. After all, you are perfect as you are.

Realizing your true potential and loving the real you - for what you really are - is a long and bumpy road.. But for the first time in my life I'm proud to say that I know me. I love me. And I am happy.

I can safely say that this road has been less of a bumpy ride - but it's still a long way to go, and the journey keeps on moving - forward, hopefully. ♥

» 30 DAYS OF SHRED

I'm happy to share this with you guys since I don't like the whole "I work out in secret so that no one will know and then deny that I've lost weight" that many girls pull. In fact, I think that it's ridiculous! I mean, if you are doing something, and you can see results - why not share it?

Anyhow, here's the work out - I found it on YouTube
At first, I was going to do Zumba - since we have the CD's at home - but I never got around with it → I'm being shredded!

This will make you hate-love her.

» KILLING ME SOFTLY..

..literally!
Yes, the person is killing me.. No, it's not what you think it is..
So what is it?
A new work out routine (new, pfft.. as if I used to work out everyday!).

When you're going to be a bridesmaid :') (a moment of silence please!) for a wedding, you have to be in your best shape, right?
So, I've completely quit eating candy and unhealthy food (not just for body-shaping reasons, but for my skin, hair, nails, health) - but I mean, you can have a little something every now and then.. Cut your portions, don't eat after six and so on.. But most importantly; work out!

Since I'm too lazy to go to the gym - it's pretty far away from here - and I don't have my license yet, so I can't drive to the gym.. And I get bored of using a crosstrainer or bicycle at home, I started a new work out.
30 days of shredJillian Michaels. If you've watched "the Biggest Loser", you know how her work outs are.. This one is about 30 minutes and it really really kills you - in a good way!

Today being my second day, my body is still a bit sore.. I don't know if this will sound weird, but I like the "pain" you get from a work out - it really makes you feel like you've achieved something.

Keep in mind, if you're going to start with this work out routine, that it's only and mostly just going to shape your body - not let you drop many kgs. But when shaping, you drop some weight off your body too - and build up those muscles!

Do you guys hit the gym or work out at home? x

» PRETTY LITTLE SPARKLE

Since everyone need a daily dose of pretty things - sparkle (oh I'm such a girly girl!), I snapped some pictures for you guys..

I think that it's very inspiring to just take your camera and snap pictures - let the imagination flow. And then, voilá, you get inspirational pictures!

IsabellaItalian pronounciation. A better picture of her will be uploaded soon.. But she is an inspiration
since I dress her in dresses or jewlery that make me happy..

» WATER MARBLE NAIL ART

When I woke up this morning and looked at my very chipped nailpolish, I had to do something.. Taking action, you know?! Haha!
But I didn't want to paint them in a traditional way.. I wanted to try something new! So, I went for the water marble nail art. It's very very simple!

Although, I'm aware that it looks like a 5 year old that just started experimenting with nail polish.. But it was very fun to do!

If you want a how-to about this nail art, tell me in the comments below! ♥

» A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

Ever since Ronaldo and Ronaldinho played for the Brazilian national football team, I wanted to see them. But that, obviously, didn't happen. I remember how everyone was cheering for Brazil 2006 (world championship), and then got disappointed when Italy played them out.. That's when we first got introduced to Kaka (or am I wrong?). We went out and got hideous, fake - should be added - Brazil football shirts haha. Oh I will show it to you if I can find it!

With all of that being said, I can't believe that I actually got to see Kaka yesterday. In fact, I still can't believe that I got to see the entire Brazilian team.. Oh I'm in love! Haha.

Even though I cheered for Iraq (you can't disappoint your country, can you?), we all knew that Brazil would win. It would be a miracle otherwise. 6-0 and we were proud. Why? If not because of the Iraqi goalkeeper (Noor?), Brazil would've won with more than 6-0.. But come on! They're champions.. The Iraqi team is practically nothing.. None of the players play in a big team..

Me and B - super excited! Hence the creepy smile hahah! But I
kind of still like the picture :D

Number 8 ♥

And number 5 ♥

The "stand up" seats (?). The Brazilian stand up seats was only 1/4 of the Iraqi..

Here we go..

The media were on that side.. That's why they turned their backs on us!

Kaka ♥

Our saviour! He did a wonderful job.. And he's probably the best Iraqi football player..

Happy Brazilians - the first goal.

Whenever a Brazilian came to 'our side', everyone went "buuuu" - which made Kaka laugh :')

Don't you think that a thousand words can be written about this pic?

14147 people were there.. I bet that 10000 (if not more) were Iraqis..

So the football landed at our side of the arena.. The people that catched it didn't want to let it go..
Even though the football playeres were telling them to give it up. But, if I would've catched it, I wouldn't
let it go either.. Tell the players to come and get it instead :D

And a final picture of Nashat (the only name I know in the Iraqi team hahah!).

All the pictures are taken by me.

» WRONG TURN

After a couple (=many) hours of trying to get tickets to TWINIGHT (=Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2), I set off to the theatre to buy the tickets.. But of course, I had forgotten that they open up in the afternoon.. I was too early. And while I was down town, I glimpsed (from across the street and when I got off the bus) some football players.. No, I didn't talk to them.. Stupid? Maybe.

Later, around 7-ish, I went to drive - I need to practice! What started out as a driving 'lesson' with my uncle, ended up as a "let's go and watch Iraq during their practice". And this is what I saw!
Now I really, really want an Iraq-Brazil scarf (not to wear on my head! But around my neck!) you know those football scarves?

So I will hunt for one tomorrow.. Wish me luck!

Will you guys be attending the game? ♥

» FASHIONABLE FOOTBALL-READY

Since I'm going to the football game (Iraq-Brazil) tomorrow, and since I have decided (almost) what to wear, I thought I'd make a post about it!

Some of you might think that this is 'too much' for a football game - but, to be honest, I don't like to dress down too much. This is my style, it defines me.. and being a necklace geek, I don't want to leave my necklace behind! That would be cruel, don't you think?!

Fashionable football-ready

Fashionable football-ready by llalila featuring marc jacobs

- Jeans: metallic black skinny jeans. H&M. Black jeans look fabulous, they're comfortable (all jeans are!) and they send a very 'laid back' vibe.
- Shirt: being a blouse-girl, I had to go out and look for a perfect black tee - and I found it! Cubus. It's high-low.
- Cardigan: Am I the only one that can't seem to find a decent (or any!) cardigan? I found a tweed-ish grey one at Zara
- CoatH&M has a very similar one.
- Necklace + ringsH&M.
- ShoesConverse
- Bag: This one is by Marc Jacobs - but it can be found pretty much anywhere.. Lindex, H&M. Or just go with any small cross-over type of bag. Now that I'm thinking about it.. I might have to go with my every day bag (a big one) to fit my camera, camera lenses, etc in it..

Quick tip: be sure to wear something thick when going to a late night event - if you live in cold places - because it can get preeetty cold at night.. Specially in a fotball arena..

» CLASSY HALLOWEEN

Who doesn't love Breakfast at Tiffany's? Or Audreys lady-esque look - that made the LBD the LBD we know of today? That movie is such an inspiration - so is Audrey Hepburn.

So what better way to dress up for Halloween than to be the inspiration itself?

Classy Halloween

Classy Halloween by llalila featuring christian louboutin heels

- The LBD can be found anywhere - and I bet that every girl has at least one in her closet! I think it's an essential..
- Tiara - look through your mothers, grandmas, or any fashionable relatives jewlery box - or why not hit the kids section at H&M?
Gloves - the long black velvet gloves can be found anywhere, really.. Any accessories/gloves store has somekind of a long glove. Accent might have something.
Necklace - H&MGlitter, or any other store has a statement pearl necklace. Add a brooch on top and you're all set!
Shoes - oh I want the Louboutin's.. But let's not dream, right?  So any pointy black heel will do!

Just add a thick eyeliner, false feathery eyelashes, a pinkish pount and you're ready to go!
That's what I'll be wearing to an upcoming (if anyone is hosting) halloween party!

» GUESS WHAT?!

Guess who's got tickets to the Iraq-Brazil football game (next week - 11/10)?
I DO (or we do!)!
Oh the excitement!

There's a funny story behind it.. Or maybe it's not that funny.

When we first heard about the game, we flipped. My first thought was; Brazil here in Malmö? I knew that I had to go and watch it! And then Iraq too? I'm not their biggest fan, but still..

The thing is that no one knew when and where the tickets would be sold.. The first thing that we came up with was Ticnet, of course (it's a Swedish online site that sells tickets - basically). But there was nothing on there either about the game.. Then I went to their Facebook page to see if they had more information there - but no..

So when my sisters best friend told her (you know who you are..) that the tickets would be sold the next day, AT the stadium where the game would be held, I immediately rushed over there to get them.. The funny thing is that 2 buses and a circle around - and inside - the stadium, I began to realize that the tickets weren't to be found there.. So that's when I got smart and called Ticnet. Of course, I had to wait for 10 (or more) minutes for them to talk to me - even though I was "first in line".. The lady told me that the tickets were to be sold the following week (?) at 9.00.

When that date came by; me, B and M had made up a scheduele on what time we (or B - since me and M had school/uni early.....) would be ready to log on their site and buy the tickets.. The thing is, we didn't want to pay "extra" for chairs.. "It's a waste of money", we said. So we bought tickets to stand up.. Imagine standing up during the whole game?!

Anyhow, after many talks with several people, a quick thought on what we had to wear to be comfortable standing up so long - we decided to upgrade our tickets. And now we are gonna sit; I can assure you that it's not a waste of money!

Sorry for the super blurry picture.. It's just that it contains way too much personal information.

Is anyone of you lovelies going to the game?
xx

» A PICTURE FROM MY LIFE

My scrapbook equals every single moment (almost) of my life.. And most of the pictures (and the text!) is very inappropriate.. Let alone, embarrassing.

With that being said, I found ONE PAGE (or one picture) that I can show you guys. One of the few normal pictures in there..

Translation: 'Blogger(ess) Laila. "Hey hey blog..." (or....? *wink wink*)'

Well didn't that sound weird in English? Answer: YES!
Next up in my sceduele - Gossip Girl and studying ♥

But before that I want to thank M and B for the best (or one of the best gifts) I've recieved in my life. It's definitely in my top 10 favorites (ranked pretty high up - number 2. What's number 1? Something very dear to me, that you guys might get to see one day..).
I love you girls! xxxxx

» WEDDING FAIR

The day after my party, I went to a wedding fair with a bride-to-be, B and Mona. It was beautiful! It almost made me - oh, who am I fooling.. It did make me want to get married! :')

All the dresses, the cakes, the pictureseverything was amazing. And we got to taste some cakes - yum! (not all of them were that yummy to be honest.. That was a disappointment).

Even the stamps were wedding-y! (hearts=love=wedding ? yes, no?)
The bride-to-be :')
Ballet-show-cinderella-story-telling before the fashion show..
One word. Gorgeous!

I like this one..
Gorgeous? YES!

Too much white :'')

And we had way too much chocolate (exaggerating)..
Ok, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these!

My obsession for cupcakes is obvious. They are so pretty!
A tiny cake sample.. By Ultimate Cake
And food tasting! (Or eating!)

If you have the chance, you should go to a wedding fair. It's a happy atmosphere (people getting married is certainly not a sad thing - in most cases), yummy cakes, gorgeous dresses and lovely company ♥

» EIGHTEEN

I haven't blogged for a while - I'm fully aware of that! But these two weeks have been very hectic.. Had my first exam the day after my bday, planned a bday party (black and white!), went to a wedding fair and much much more! And I've been (still am) sick - fun? Oh yeah!

Since a picture says more than a thousand words; here you go!

My family and best friend "surprised" me (I woke up way too early!) at 8 (?) - too early, yes! - with
yummy muffins, candles, singing and presents! (I will show you the presents in another post!).
Delicious breakfast made by la familia! I should've taken a closer picture of everything..

Our tradition! (Mine, Monas and B's). When we were children, we promised each other to make
scrapbooks to each other when we turn 18 - and this time it was my turn! Two down, one to go! Haha.

From the black and white party!

Cupcakes made by me! The cupcake thingies were supposed to be black and white, but they didn't
turn out the way I planned; so I used pink ones instead!

These look heavenly.. Wedding-ly.. And with pearls! I love pearls!

The candy (or should I say chocolate) that I picked out!

Some of the candy that my sister picked out (I don't really like candy.. That's why we had the                chocolate!)
What's a themed party without flowers?

Cause what's a bday without balloons?
Welcome-drinks.. Pommac all the way! (Non-alcoholic, ofcourse... Or?)

Food!
And the chocolate cake - made by me.. It looks a bit odd.. Don't you think? Btw. the picture was
taken when the lights were out - hence the flash.

I wish I could upload more pictures from the party - the theme was all over everyones outfits! But I can't since the pictures are not blog-friendly. (My outfit will be detailed in another post!).
